Information

Be sure to leave your flight times, insurance details and an emergency mobile telephone number  with someone at home.

Please provide Red Sea Safaris with a photocopy of your passport and Insurance policies. This means we can help you in case you lose either of these.

Insurance

We insist all our guests have adequate Dive and Travel insurance. We need proof at the time of booking.

Check with your home insurance to see if you are covered while traveling and diving.  It is important that you have medical and travel insurance that covers both medical and diving emergencies as well as loss of baggage, delayed or missed flights etc.

If you are not covered we can provide you with Gouda Travel insurance which provides full Travel, diving and medical cover. The policy is excellent, giving full cover for the travelling diver ( with no depth limits, air evacuation, and refunds if you get sick on the trip and cannot dive ).

A cancellation insurance is often purchased as well and covers you in the event of sickness prior to departure of your trip.  Most insurances cover expenses if close family members or travel companions become sick and prevent you from traveling. We can provide you with this if needed but it has to be purchased at the time of booking.

If you already have Dive insurance please check that it covers for all dive related accidents that may occur.  Be sure to check the small print for any exclusions such as 30m depth limits. If you dive deeper than this you will not be covered in case of an accident. Also check if you are covered for low level air evacuation.

We cannot stress enough how important this cover is since recompression and medical care is Extremely Expensive.

Your yellow card will not cover you while traveling in Sudan and not in Egypt from 2008.

Safety / medical concerns

All divers must have adequate travel, health and diving insurance.

All divers over 50 years of age must have a medical statement signed within the last 6 months by a doctor with them.

No particular vaccinations are required to enter Egypt and  vaccinations for Sudan  Tetanus,Typhoid, polio, diphtheria and hepatitis A and B , Meningitis C are recommended. Consult with your doctor regarding vaccinations.
